Baycidal GR4 – 1.5 kg – S-methoprene

Baycidal GR4 with S-methoprene is a biocide for the control of fly larvae in animal premises (piggeries, cow farms, stables, poultry farms).
Mode of action: Biocide for the control of fly larvae (Musca domestica, Stomoxys calcitgans, Eristalis tenax) of indoors in animal premises (piggeries, cow farms, stables, poultry farms, etc.) and on found in impermeable insulated manure pits. The application of the biocidal product to goat and sheep manure in goat and sheep pens is not permitted.
How to use:
The biocide is ready for use (granules). It is applied by spraying.
The granules are spread evenly on the surface of the cake by hand, with a measuring cup or another suitable dosing device, for example a hand granule applicator.
Consumption rate: 30 g / m2
Pig farms / Cattle stables:
- Wooden floor: It is applied on the 3rd day after the introduction of the new cattle. It is treated whole floor of the manure pit. The treatment is repeated after each removal of animal manure.
- litter: Apply to each new layer of litter and the treatment is repeated after each increase in the layer by 8 – 10 cm.
Poultry farms:
- Cells: Treat the accumulated manure under the cells. The treatment is repeated after each increase the layer by 10 cm.
- Litter: Apply on each new layer of litter and the treatment is repeated after each increase in the layer by 8 – 10 cm.
In the case of very dry substrates (eg chicken manure) or in very dry ambient conditions environment, the effect of processing with the product may be delayed. For better larvicidal effect,
spray 100-200 ml of water / m2 on the surface of the substrate.
Fertilizer stored outdoors:
When treating fertilizer stored outdoors, the product is applied at a dose of 30 g / m2 on the surface of the cake, the processing is repeated after each increase in the layer by 10 cm. Fertilizer should only be treated if it is collected in a pit that is impermeable, insulated and meets the requirements for safe storage of fertilizer. In order to prevent recurrence contamination, external cake storage facilities are recommended to be located at least 15 meters away from the building where the animals are housed. The treatment of the cake with larvicide must be stopped for at least 2 months before it is used for fertilization of agricultural land. During this period, the application of physical is recommended methods (eg coating) to prevent re-infection of the cake with flies.
BAYCIDAL® GR4 granules control the development of flies when they are not yet noticeable and thus covers the majority of the population (about 80%). The product can control the number of newly hatched adult flies for up to 12 weeks after treatment, if observed the above application instructions. Has a long lasting effect due to the slow release of the active ingredient.
Maximum number of applications of the biocidal product per year: six treatments.
Instructions for use:
Always read the label or package leaflet before use and follow all provided instructions. Avoid continuous use of the product. The treatment must be in accordance with the life cycle and the characteristics of the target ones insects. Control activities are aimed at the most sensitive stage of insects, the time of application and the places to be treated.
Apply integrated pest management methods, such as a combination of chemical, physical methods and other control measures, taking into account local characteristics (climatic conditions, target species, conditions of use, etc.).
Treatments should be alternated with the use of products containing active substances with different mechanism of action (to remove resistant individuals from the population).
Risk mitigation measures:
During application, follow the recommendations on the label to avoid risk to the environment environment or for human health. Avoid contact of animals with the product. If this is not possible, remove animals during processing. The animal manure accumulated under the grill floor, the metal grid, the system with deep bedding or cages. Do not spray the granules in the immediate vicinity of places for eating or drinking or where animals can consume the product. In case the food or drinking water of the animal may be contaminated before treatment, feeding facilities and
watering to empty or cover. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Keep away from food, drink and animal.
Do not store with food, feed, seeds and fertilizers.
Do not use in animal housing where surface water discharges.
Empty containers and product residues must be disposed of as hazardous waste.
Strategies for avoiding and managing the development of resistance:
Insecticides are recommended to prevent the development of resistance with a different mechanism of action, as well as a pest control program. It is recommended that larvicide treatment be combined with the use of a biocide against adult insects, sticky traps and UV lamps. Adhesive traps can also be used for monitoring.
Prolonged or frequent exposure to the product may cause allergic reactions skin reactions (itching, redness).
First aid measures:
General information: IF exposed or concerned: Get medical attention
advice / help.
IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth with water. Give the victim a few glasses of water
drinking.
INHALATION: Unlikely route of exposure.
IF ON SKIN: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Drizzle the skin with water / shower. Contaminated clothes can be washed with a normal washing program.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for 15 minutes. Remove the contacts
lenses, if any, and as far as possible.
Storage: Keep away from food and feed! Store in a dry and cool place. To protect from heat and direct sunlight. Keep away from children!
