Dimilin 15 SC- 1 liter – diflubenzuron

Dimilin 15 SC with diflubenzuron is a preparation in the form of a concentrate that serves to destroy mosquitoe and fly larvae. Use against: mosquito and flies larvae
Manufacturer: Arysta
Packaging: 1 liter
Active substance: diflubenzuron 150 g/kg
Formulation: suspension concentrate ( SC )
Shelf life (years): 2 years from production date
Use against: mosquito and flies larvae
Dimilin 15 SC with diflubenzuron is a insecticide in the form of a concentrate that serves to destroy mosquito and fly larvae. This larvicide is an effective means of combating and expelling entire populations of flying and crawling insects.
The active substance is from the Insect Growth Regulators group. It inhibits chitin synthesis, as the larvae cannot free themselves from their old chitin shell or the new one is fragile and underdeveloped. The end result is death at or shortly after conversion. Extremely low toxicity to mammals, fish and other aquatic life. Residual effect – up to 4 weeks. In combination with a preparation to control adult flies (Muscid 100 SG or Twenty 1 VP) solves the problem even in difficult sites such as livestock farms.
Method of use and doses:
The biocide is a concentrate. It is applied by preparing aqueous working solutions. Dimilin 15 SC acts upon ingestion and contact against mosquito and fly larvae. Dimylin 15 SC inhibits the formation of chitin in the cuticle of the larva, which blocks the normal molting process. The effect of treating the larvae of mosquitoes and flies with Dimilin 15 SC is observed from 2 to 4 days after application. The product is applied in places where mosquitoes and flies breed. For the control of mosquito larvae, Dimilin 15 SC is applied directly to the places where mosquitoes breed, as
for example: stagnant water (ditches, canals, puddles and rice paddies) as well as in closed hydraulic systems such as: sewage, septic tanks and treatment plants, waste water collectors in urban and rural areas. For the control of fly larvae, Dimilin 15 SC is applied to places where flies breed, such as: piles of organic matter, septic tanks, landfills, slaughterhouse residues, food industry residues, swampy areas, in and around herds of cows, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, birds and rabbits.
The biocide should not be used to treat surface water bodies used for drinking and domestic water supply.
To control mosquito larvae:
- Waters with low pollution:
1) Spraying with a hand sprayer 17-35 ml in 10 l of water for 1 decare of water area,
2) Spraying with a motorized sprayer 17-35 ml in 5 l of water for 1 decare of water area,
3) Conventional spraying from an airplane with normal nozzles 17-35 ml in 1.5 l of water for 1 decare of water area.
Waters with high pollution: the doses of the preparation are doubled in the same amount of water and for the same water area. Consumption rate: 350-700 ml/ha (35-70 ml/dka). The lower doses should be applied at water depths equal to or less than 0.5 m, and the higher doses at water depth equal to or greater than 1 m.
Closed water system with heavy organic pollution: Spray with a hand sprayer 7 ml in 50 ml of water for 1 m³ of sewage. - Control of fly larvae:
Landfills/landfills and septic tanks:
1) Spraying with a hand sprayer 350-700 ml in 5 l of water per 100 m2
2) Spraying with a motorized sprayer 350-700 ml in 2 l of water per 100 m2Use lower doses in closed systems and low fly larval populations, and higher doses in open systems and high populations
with fly larvae. The greatest efficiency is achieved by uniform distribution of the solution on the treated surface.
Application dose:
- Against mosquitoes: 17-35 ml of Dimilin 15 SC in 10 liters of water;
- Against flies: 360-700 ml in 5 liters of water for 100 sq.m.
Interval between treatments:
Repeat the treatment with Dimilin 15 SC every 3 – 4 weeks during mosquito and fly breeding.
